People are dying in record numbers in Scotland through drug-related-deaths or DRD. Before Covid-19 DRD was being discussed as the biggest crisis in Scotland. That problem has only gotten worse. There has never been a more relevant time to destroy stigma, stereotypes and shame in relation to addiction. One of my biggest goals is to get elected members to take notice of the barriers to recovery and the inequalities faced by many suffering with addiction. Having Euphoric Recall motioned in Scottish parliament by Neil Findlay MSP is a great honour and an achievement. Hopefully this is the first step to Euphoric Recall opening discussions about addiction in society.
